POPULAR STORIES
roomates
I know that it's one of the most popular stories on Wattpad, but, maybe because I'm twenty-years-old, it was really not for me. A lot of people seem to like it, but, I guess it just wasn't for me. The book lacked intelligence and sense of humor. What everyone else found funny, I found annoying. I forced myself to keep reading and I skipped the last chapter. Reading the first sentence of the last chapter stopped me from reading the rest. They got married. Not original at all. The characters were annoying. No boy I have ever met was that mean to a girl. I didn't like how the main character fell for this guy who was just mean to her the whole time. And then he changes. I'm writing a story like that but my male character hasn't really changed at all. He's still the same guy. He just spilled more secrets than anyone would expect. The book was not surprising. There's 5000 other books on Wattpad with the same theme. I'm not saying that you won't like it. It's just that the author was maybe 15 when she wrote it. Us adults, first off, don't act like those characters. I don't really like books when they're written by people way younger than me. Anyone who was born from 1999 to the present, they don't write what I would like. If you guys are into the whole girl and boy roomate drama thing, then you will like this. If you're over twenty, this may not be the book for you. I wasn't a big fan of it but that doesn't mean you guys won't like it. If you're younger than me, it will probably be the book for you. If your my age and older, you might think the same thing as me. The book seems to be more aimed at a younger audience and isn't mature enough for adults to read. It depends on your age how you would rate this book. Read it and tell me what you think.
Friends don't kiss, do they?
This is a newer story on Wattpad written by a woman in her twenties, so the maturity of it was better for me. It's about a girl, Hailey, who has had a crush on her friend, Matt forever, but he sees her as nothing more than a friend. And he's a total player who uses girls for one night stands and then leaves them. Hailey thinks it is pointless to love him, even if they are friends. But, when she accidently kisses Matt, she is ashamed of what she has done. But, she leaves Matt confused about his feelings for Hailey. They question everything and don't know if they could be friends or more.
This story was more realilistic than the one above. It had the whole high school scene. With bullying, first love, crushes, drama, almost everything. I liked the characters. And the story had a surprising ending that you wouldn't expect from most Wattpad stories which made it more realilistic and amazing than most Wattpad stories.
I felt connected with the characters and felt sympathy towards Hailey with her bully, Samatha. I wanted to beat her up so bad. If I had a bully like that, I would beat her up bad, not caring about the cost. I felt like I was Hailey throughout the whole story and that it was my own life story. I felt like I was telling story as Hailey and can understand where she is coming from. Only I am more chill around guys more than she is. But most girls would feel that way about their crush. While reading, I wanted a Matt. While everyone wanted a Troy Bolton, Noah Calhoun, Gale Hawthorne, fiction characters like that, I wanted a Matt. It takes a lot for me to grow feelings for a character on Wattpad and this was one of those stories that gave me that feeling.
I highly recommend this story for both teens and adults. It's mature themed and more relatable to real teen life. I loved it and I think you will too.
